DellaCroce Dental Care is OPEN!!!
The nature of Covid-19 virus and its ability to spread through aerosols has been particularly impactful for dentistry. Our professional duty of providing care for our patients requires procedures that create aerosols in most, if not all instances. This is not unique to dentistry but occurs much more regularly in the dental office.
The safety of our patients and our team has always been and will continue to be our primary concern.
Della Croce Dental Care is working diligently to continue to not only meet OSHA & CDC guidelines (as we always have) but exceed what is minimally required.
When returning to the office, our patients will see several changes:
- Glass partitioned/negative pressured individual dental rooms
- Sneeze guards at our previously open front office
- Team members with significantly increased Personal Protective Equipment
- New check in systems
- Covid-19 screening by phone and at the start of your appointment
- UVC Lights - A hospital grade addition to our already rigorous room steralization
There are several factors that have affected our ability to reopen safely.
The availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) has been & continues to be low. Our doctors have been working closely with our dental supply companies to obtain all that is required. PPE supplies are continuing to be rationed at this time. The quantity of supplies we would like to order are simply not available. Thankfully, our doctors began the process of acquiring PPE early in the Covid-19 Pandemic. We have obtained all of what we need to provide direct care for our patients.
Another factor in our ability to reopen is our ability to control or minimize the aerosols dentistry creates.
Della Croce Dental Care has acquired several types of air filtration systems. We have 2 rooms equipped with state of the art negative pressure air filtration systems. All 7 treatment rooms will also be equipped with iQ Air external suction and air filtration systems. This will allow protection not only for our patients but our doctors and team as well.
We have been blessed to be part of the Greater Hazleton area for more than 90 years. We may look different, but we are the same team you have come to know and trust.
